The Lucky Group of Companies was founded in the early 1970's. Driven to succeed, its owner was quick to recognize the growing trend of San Francisco Bay Area locals traveling to Reno, Nevada for gambling excursions. He realized that the Bay Area needed a reliable service provider to fill those tourism needs. From that spark, and startup capital of $100, came the first Lucky Company in 1973, Lucky Tours. That original seed has grown into a conglomerate of successful family owned companies under the Lucky brand name. Through the success of Lucky Tours over 30 years ago, the Lucky Group has diversified into other markets that both complement and support its common mission to serve their intended markets.

Lucky Family Timeline
1970s
- 1975 - With a $100 initial capitalization, Lucky Tours is founded
- 1979 - Lucky Tours becomes Reno's The Sundowner Hotel Casino exclusive tour operator from the Bay Area.
1980s
- 1982 - Lucky Tours Purchases its first two motorcoaches.
- 1984 - Lucky Tours establishes its HQ at 1111 Mission St, San Francisco, CA.
- 1985 - In after 10 years of operation, Lucky Tours initiates multiple daily reno trips from the San Francisco Bay Area
- 1986 - Lucky Tours purchases its sixth deluxe tourbus.
- 1987 - Due to customer demand for multiple pick up locations, Lucky Tours opens its second location in Oakland, CA.
- 1988 - Lucky Tours breaks the milestone of transporting well over 50,000 passengers to Reno each month.
- 1989 - Lucky Tours expands its presence into a total of 8 branch locations in the Greater Bay Area.
1990s
- 1991 - Lucky Money is founded and approved by the California Dept. of Financial Insitituions.
- 1992 - Lucky Tours purchases its 20th Bus and is now recognized as one of San Francisco's largest privately owned tour operators.
That same year, Lucky Money quickly expands its 24 hour Door to Door money remittnace services in 10 locations in Northern California.
- 1993 - Lucky Chances Casino is proposed to the Town of Colma.
- 1994 - In only 3 years of operation, the rapid adoption of Lucky Money's 24 hour money remittance business allows it to expand throughout the state of California opening 5 new locations in S. California totaling 15 locations statewide.
- 1995 - Lucky Chances is approved by the electorate of the town of Colma, California, and given the exclusive right to build the town's only cardroom casino.
- 1996 - Lucky Money continues its rapid growth and expands to states outside of California opening offices in Washington, and Nevada
- 1997 - Groundbreaking for the construction of Lucky Chances Casino begins, a $25 million dollar development.
Lucky Money begins agent program.
- 1998 - Lucky Chances opens its doors to the public.
2000s
- 2000 - Lucky Communications Incorporated and approved by FCC as facilities based telecommunications carrier.
Lucky Money opens 40th company owned location.
- 2004 - Lucky Group Acquires 1028 Mission Build, future home of Lucky Group.
- 2005 - Lucky Money Online Remittance Website Launches.
- 2006 - New board and resolutions adopted for Global Expansion.
After a 1 ½ year renovation, Lucky Group officially moves to 1028 Mission Street.
